DTNA presents the Masters of Quality Award annually to an elite group of suppliers that meet their rigorous standards and also show a commitment for continual improvement. Daimler’s suppliers are evaluated semi-annually on more than 100 criteria related to quality, service, aftermarket parts availability, engineering, innovation, warranty and purchasing; and only those rated at the top are recognized with this award.
WESTMONT, IL – Julian Electric Inc. was one of 12 recipients of the Toyota Industrial Equipment Mfg., Inc. Supplier of the Year Award. The Quality Cost Delivery award is bestowed to TIEM suppliers whose quality, cost and delivery exceed a 95 percent standard of excellence. “Toyota’s suppliers are a valuable extension to our business helping us ensure that we deliver the highest quality lift trucks to our customers," said Bruce Nolting, vice president of logistics, production control, purchasing, sales and service parts for TIEM. "This award reflects our suppliers’ commitment to excellence.”

Julian Electric, Inc. announces the official opening of Julian Electric de México S. de R.L. de C.V. The 40,000 sq. ft. factory in Saltillo, Mexico will manufacture battery cables and wiring harnesses for commercial vehicle OEMs throughout Mexico and North America.
Full production is slated for Summer 2010. Headquartered in Westmont, IL, this will be the 4th manufacturing facility for Julian Electric, Inc.

Julian Electric Inc. has acquired a 3rd facility in Westmont, IL. “Plant 3” at 400 Plaza Drive is a 30,000 sq ft facility, expandable to 60,000 ft, and will produce UL cable assemblies, automotive wiring harnesses & cable assemblies, and miscellaneous specialty products.
